Warehouse Manager- Commercial Lighting 

Reports to: Director of Operations

Location: Katy, TX 


As a Warehouse Manager, you are fully responsible for all shipping, receiving, inventory management, safety, and organization for the whole warehouse operation. Furthermore, you must ensure company standards are met, and processes continue to be followed.


In this position, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


·       Oversee the warehouse operation and ensure all processes are followed, KPIs are up to our standards, and team morale is always at the highest level.

·       Inventory control and overall accuracy. Daily cycle counts must be performed, and physical counts must be scheduled and executed.

·       Inventory replenishments must be executed daily.

·       Inventory placement and bin assignments must be managed and reviewed every four weeks.

·       Orders must be shipped on time, every time. Order shipping accuracy should not exceed ½ percent of the R6 time frame.

·       Ensure the team is utilizing suitable carriers and avoiding accessories.

·       Look for ways to reduce costs in all aspects of the warehouse operation, including transportation, technology, and other efficiency-gaining possibilities.

·       Receiving is done in an acceptable timely manner and put away property.

·       Warehouse organization and cleanliness are to be second to none. Ensure all “special” projects are being executed daily by the team. 

·       Safety & Training – become a certified forklift trainer. Perform monthly safety training in different warehouse operation aspects.

·       Communicate with your team and make sure you are as transparent as possible.

o   Run daily team meetings set for 7:30 AM and follow Daily Meeting Check List

o   Weekly inspections of the property every Friday after 7:30 AM Daily Meeting.

o   Monthly 1:1 with each team member in the collaboration area.



·       Ability to motivate and lead the team.

·       Great verbal and written communication.

·       Friendly and respectful of all employees, visitors, vendors, or customers.

·       Organization – understanding company standards as far as cleanliness and processes.
