Job Description
Distribution center is looking for a forklift operator/order pickers.
Duties include:
- Sign off on scanner logbook.
- Ensure scanner is working properly.
- Fill out the check list for forklift.
- Report to shipping office for pick slips of the day.
- Skids and totes used for pulling small orders.
- Acknowledging the use of wire guided system on order pickers.
- Picking an order and staging it on proper area
- Keeping aisles free from clutter and obstructions.
- Keeping inventory control accuracy
- At the end of the day return all equipment and tools to its proper location.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic math and literacy skills
- Basic/ intermediate computer operation skills
- Add and subtract decimals and fractions.
- Position holder should have experience with warehouse functions and equipment.
- Must be able to drive a stand-up forklift and cherry picker.
- Fill in all required forms for product and shipment identification.
- Report any damaged product or inventory discrepancy.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by making the correct and all necessary transactions in JDE system and physically.
- 1 minimum 6 months warehouse picking and shipping experience.
- Handheld scanner experience.
- 1 year or more of forklift driving experience.
Working hours are:
1st shift 8:00 am to 4:30 with possible overtime and Saturday's
2nd shift 3:30pm to Midnight with possible overtime and Saturday's
Pay rate 1st shift $13.00, 2nd shift $13.75
Position can become full time with the company.
