Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Manufacturing to provide strategic and operational leadership for a rapidly expanding precision-machining and manufacturing organization. The VP will be responsible for building scalable manufacturing capabilities, expanding capacity, developing new parts and processes, organizing shop operations, and establishing a long-term strategy for both repair and new-make manufacturing. Direct aeroderivative gas turbine experience is highly preferred; however, candidates from aerospace, power generation, oil and gas equipment, automotive, heavy equipment, or other complex precision-manufacturing environments will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead precision-machining and production operations supporting complex, high-value gas turbine components.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for capacity expansion, facility growth, equipment acquisition, process optimization, and workforce scaling.
  • Oversee advanced manufacturing processes, including multi-axis CNC milling and turning, EDM, grinding, and machining of superalloys, titanium, and other exotic materials.
  • Establish scalable operating procedures, production workflows, quality systems, shop layouts, and equipment-installation plans.
  • Lead the transition and continued growth of repair and new-make manufacturing operations.
  • Manage production planning, scheduling, supply-chain integration, quality assurance, shop-floor execution, and on-time delivery.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team consisting of shop managers, engineers, supervisors, support personnel, and skilled manufacturing employees.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives focused on cycle time, throughput, first-pass yield, scrap reduction, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Own manufacturing P&L responsibilities, capital expenditures, operational budgets, cost of goods sold, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial leadership on new-product introductions and design for manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, safety requirements, and applicable aerospace-quality standards.
  • Establish and report KPIs related to capacity utilization, delivery, quality, cost per part, productivity, and continuous-improvement ROI.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 12 years of progressive leadership experience in precision manufacturing.
  • Five or more years of leadership experience at the Director, Vice President, or comparable executive level.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale precision-machining operations.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-axis CNC machining, EDM, grinding, complex component manufacturing, and tight-tolerance production.
  • Proven success expanding manufacturing capacity through capital investment, equipment installation, process development, and workforce growth.
  • Experience managing large capital and operating budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and change management.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, MES, and modern manufacturing systems.
  • U.S. work authorization without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience manufacturing aeroderivative gas turbine components.
  • Aerospace, aviation engine, power-generation, or similarly regulated precision-manufacturing experience.
  • Experience creating or substantially expanding a manufacturing department.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and aerospace-level quality systems.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • A progressive career history that includes hands-on shop-floor leadership and increasing responsibility within complex manufacturing operations.
