Treasury Analyst - Downtown Houston
As a part of the F&A team, the primary focus of the Treasury Analyst will be to conduct the day-to-day corporate cash management activities, prepare and record daily cash entries, manage payment approvals in banking system, assist with capture and recording of banking transactions, and other treasury related duties for all managed legal entities. In addition to treasury responsibilities the incumbent will be responsible for processing employee expense reports and ensuring timely payments as well as other finance-related activities. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all payments/receipts and taxes across all group entities.
  • Review aging daily and conduct payment processing for $USD and for foreign exchange transactions by wire transfer, ACH, or check.
  • Prepare, analyze, and make proposals of fund transfers to meet cash requirements as needed.
  • Support to book capital contributions, dividends and interests upon cash payments and receipts.
  • Reconcile daily cash movements between ERP and bank statements.
  • Review and submit cash application entries.
  • Perform bank administration duties such as opening, closing, and modifying accounts as needed and maintain bank reconciliations.
  • Troubleshoot any payment request failures between ERP and banking system with IT support groups.
  • Assist in reviewing current processes and make proposals to streamline treasury functions to improve and make the process more efficient.  
  • Perform daily cash analysis and publish positioning and reporting to CFO.
  • Assist with the daily/monthly bank reconciliation process.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and control of bank accounts, balances and bank/treasury systems.  
  • Analyze bank fees, bank cost information and recommend cost savings.
  • Maintain proper records for bank, cash, debt and interest schedules.
  • Prepare cash forecasts on an ad hoc basis as requested.
  • Support the maintenance of credit facility documents, standby letters of credit, bank guarantees and their records, reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison with the treasury team.  
  • Assist management with preparing treasury materials and reports.
  • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clients.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by upholding a strict level of confidentiality.
  • The Treasury Analyst will also be responsible for processing employee expense reports.
  • Review and process employee expense reports in adherence to company policies.
  • Support other team members or departments regarding employee expenses.
  • Work closely with other departments to properly allocate expenses for executives.
  • Ensure that all proper documentation is submitted to support expenses.
  • Obtain proper approvals of employee expenses outlined by the organization’s guidelines.
  • Process cash reimbursements timely to employees.
  • Perform the configuration and maintenance of Concur system, including user account setup and approval workflows.
  • Troubleshoot Concur issues with the Concur Support team.
  • Periodically review and update expense report processing procedures.
  • Act as backup for other Accounts Payable members
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience (energy environment is a plus)
  • Experience with ERP or equivalent systems, and banking systems.
  • Strong MS Office package skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and change within a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Some exposure to other areas such as bookkeeping, financial reports, financial plans is a plus
