Tax Preparer
Job Description
Job Summary:
Performs the day-to-day bookkeeping functions for numerous clients; records transactions within established systems and procedures; preparation of individual and business tax returns; reconciles accounts and record adjusting journal entries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify and enter detail of transactions as they occur in computerized accounting system for numerous clients on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
- Prepare monthly financial statements accurately and timely, using QuickBooks
- Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
- Prepare Compiled financial statements, on cash-basis or tax- basis, based on client’s accounting method.
- Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested.
- Prepare bank reconciliations monthly.
- Prepare payroll tax returns, form 1099’s and sales tax returns.
- Prepare individual and business tax returns
- Learn the new tax laws and filing practices
- At least 2 - 3 years experience preparing taxes
Working hours are 9 to 6 Mon to Fri but overtime is possible during busy times.
$15/hr.
Position could become full time with the company.
