We are seeking an experienced CPA / Tax Accountant to join a growing, smaller accounting firm. This position will handle tax preparation and processing for a variety of individual and business clients while providing year-round accounting and tax support.

We are seeking an experienced CPA / Tax Accountant to join a growing, smaller accounting firm. This position will handle tax preparation and processing for a variety of individual and business clients while providing year-round accounting and tax support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and other business tax returns.
- Manage tax return processing from initial documentation through filing.
- Review client financial information for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare tax estimates, extensions, and related filings.
- Assist clients with tax questions and general accounting needs.
- Research and resolve tax notices and discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding documentation, deadlines, and tax matters.
- Support bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and other accounting projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- CPA required or CPA candidate with strong tax experience.
- Previous public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of individual and business tax returns.
- Comfortable working independently in a small-firm environment and managing multiple clients.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent client communication skills.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
