The Credit Services Supervisor will oversee the credit  operations within the organization, ensuring effective management of credit risk and adherence to company policies. This role requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, risk management, and credit evaluation. The successful candidate will lead a team in assessing and monitoring creditworthiness, analyzing financial statements, and managing accounts to support the company’s financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of credit analysts, setting performance goals and providing ongoing training and support.
  • Credit Analysis: Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to determine the credit risk associated with potential clients. Utilize financial data to make informed credit decisions and recommendations.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate credit risk. Monitor and manage the credit risk portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Credit Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures. Recommend updates and improvements to credit policies as necessary.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on credit and collections performance, including aging reports, bad debt analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Customer Interaction: Manage relationships with key accounts, addressing any credit-related issues or disputes and working towards mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the credit services department.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, finance, and other departments to support business objectives and resolve credit-related issues.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or risk management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound decisions.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, financial modeling tools).
    • Excellent understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Solid knowledge of risk management practices and credit evaluation techniques.
    • Effective leadership and team management abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
