POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing professional accounting work including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records and related duties as required.
In this role, the Staff Accountant will need to be able to use critical thinking skills by taking initiative to identify and resolve problems, especially as the homebuilding division grows into new markets
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting and/or finance
- 2+ years’ experience in an accounting or financial reporting role preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Real estate and/or construction experience is a plus
- Advanced Excel Skills
