Staff Accountant
Great opportunity for a Staff Accountant looking to gain broad accounting exposure and grow with an expanding organization!
What they’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong GL, journal entry and account reconciliation experience
- Month-end and year-end close experience
- Financial statement preparation
- Experience with cost accounting, project accounting and/or percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis exposure
- Strong Excel skills – Pivot Tables, lookups and formulas
- Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle or similar ERP
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
The role will include:
- GL accounting, accruals, deferrals and reconciliations
- Month-end/year-end close
- Financial reporting
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Cost/project accounting
- Bank reconciliations and treasury support
- AP/AR oversight and support
- Audit and tax support
- Intercompany and multi-currency accounting
- Creating and documenting accounting procedures/SOPs
- Process improvement and accounting automation
Big pluses:
- CPA or working toward CPA
- Manufacturing, capital equipment or project-based industry experience
- International accounting exposure
