Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Assistant – School-Based | Multiple Locations
Locations Available: Cleveland, TX • Crowley, TX • Dallas, TX • Justin, TX
Schedule: Full-Time (School Hours) | Contract
Setting: K-12 School Campuses (varies by district)

We’re hiring experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for school-based opportunities in multiple districts and locations.
If you’re passionate about helping students strengthen their communication skills and succeed in the classroom, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, families, and special education teams.
What You’ll Do
As a School-Based SLPA, you will provide speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. You may support students with communication needs involving:

Speech sound disorders

Language delays and disorders
-
Fluency, including stuttering
-
Voice and communication concerns
-
Social and pragmatic communication skills
-
Augmentative and alternative communication systems
Your responsibilities may include:
-
Providing individual and group therapy based on established treatment plans
-
Implementing activities and interventions developed by the supervising SLP
-
Documenting therapy sessions and student progress
-
Collecting data related to student goals
-
Preparing therapy materials and maintaining student records
-
Communicating relevant progress information to the supervising SLP
-
Collaborating with teachers and other school-based professionals
-
Supporting students in working toward their IEP communication goals
-
Participating in meetings or team discussions as permitted by the supervising SLP and applicable regulations
SLPAs do not independently diagnose communication disorders, conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, or make changes to students’ IEP goals.
Qualifications
-
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders, speech-language pathology assisting, or a related field, as required by the state of assignment
-
Completion of required clinical observation and supervised fieldwork hours
-
Current SLPA license, registration, certification, or authorization for the state of assignment
-
Experience working with school-aged children preferred
-
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
-
Ability to work effectively under the direction of a licensed SLP
-
Ability to pass all required school district background checks
Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain the appropriate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant credential required by the state of assignment.
Requirements may include:

State SLPA licensure or registration
-
Completion of approved education and clinical training
-
Supervision by a state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
-
Additional school district or education agency requirements
-
Fingerprinting and background clearance
