Job Description

Site Accounting Manager - Houston, TX We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Accounting Manager to lead our month-end close process, oversee general ledger reporting, and manage those responsible for site inventory, accounts payable and receivable. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting to the Platform Accounting Manager. This position will report directly to the Platform Accounting Manager with matrix reporting line to the site President.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily lean management team meetings.  Work with cross-functional team members to ensure accurate reporting of sales and costing activities.

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

  • Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

  • Prepare monthly operations review meeting materials.

  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidated reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supervise and mentor AP/AR staff, ensuring efficient transaction processing and adherence to internal controls.

  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.

  • Support external audits and tax filings by preparing required documentation and schedules.

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial operations.

  • Support Platform Accounting Manager, CEO, and site President.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment within an organization $50M in revenue or less

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., GSS, Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
