Job Description



Summary/Objective

 

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk position is responsible for receiving, shipping, and other administrative duties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

 

Essential Functions

 
  • Assisting in shipping and receiving material in the system.
  • Resolves any issues on our deliveries related to shipping of the material
  • Reviews various shipping reports to clear up open issues that are still outstanding
  • Distributing items to shipping or other designated areas for route drivers
  • Ensuring the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic
  • Process work order tickets for items we are assembling
  • Marking materials with identifying information using assigned methods
  • Logging materials received or distributed
  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory
  • Maintaining the warehouse facilities to ensure cleanliness
  • Performing additional assignments per supervisor’s direction
  • Assist with over, short, or damaged material received in our warehouse
  • Organizes vendor pickups requested from expeditors or the sales team
  • Prints all MT’s and DT’s sent by sales team
