Job Description

Senior Operations Accountant - E&P, Hybrid schedule!
Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly business accounting results, and identify and communicate variance drivers from budget or forecast
Collaborate with or oversee the work of accounting personnel and 3rd party consultants to accomplish objectives
Perform or oversee periodic accounting processes including:
Revenue and expenditure reviews and analysis
Account reconciliations
JIB Accounting
Production Accounting
Journal entry preparation and review
Adherence to SOX controls
Review of system processes and outputs
This person will take the lead role in special projects, including researching, analyzing and reporting on issues that affect the company, making recommendations for solutions, and following through to resolution
Develop deep knowledge of operational activity and commercial matters for our oil and gas assets
Provide A&D accounting support as necessary
Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software
Perform other duties as necessary or as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years progressive accounting experience at an operator E&P company
Experience in operational accounting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree, preferred
Experience working in Oracle or Quorum preferred
Strong Excel skills needed
