Senior Accountant
Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, project accounting, and audit processes within a growing commercial real estate environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and Book-to-GAAP reporting
- Support audit processes (interim & year-end)s
- Manage loan and equity schedules, including cash flow and distribution tracking
- Oversee lot and commercial sales accounting, including closing documentation and inventory tracking
- Handle A/R and A/P processing, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely execution
- Prepare monthly loan draws and supporting documentation
- Maintain and reconcile MUD reimbursement schedules and general ledger activity
- Track and manage property tax schedules, including annual and rollback taxes
- Assist with month-end close and ad hoc projects for leadership
Requirements:
- 5+ years of GAAP accounting experience (public accounting a plus)
- Experience in commercial real estate property management and or development and job costing preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Timberline preferred)
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA a plus)
