Job Description

Senior Accountant - Houston, TX 77027 Looking to hire a Senior Accountant with a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and practices and a strong attention to detail. Candidates are expected to be able to work well under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.  Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, make general ledger entries, and assist with month and year end reporting 
  • Assist with banking transactions (e.g., deposits, setting up ACH and wire transactions, etc.) 
  • Update and reconcile financial records such as invoices, disbursements, receipts, credit card transactions, and third-party payments in QuickBooks 
  • Special projects as assigned by Accounting Manager and/or CFO
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting 
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting work experience 
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices 
  • Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills 
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
  • Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office 
  • Must be proficient in QuickBooks Must be comfortable working in an office environment (this is not a remote and/or hybrid role)
