Senior Accountant - Real Estate Required

A well-established commercial real estate company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is instrumental in managing the accounting and finance functions across both the real estate portfolio and the family office.

Senior Accountant Duties:
- Manage financial records for multiple properties and entities using Yardi/Yardi Genesis.
- Prepare and post journal entries in collaboration with Tax CPAs.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee commercial property insurance policies.
- Assist in financial statement preparation and audits.
- Conduct end-of-year property budget reconciliations.
- Track and assist with property tax protest and refund reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the outside CPA.
- Process and record owner/shareholder distributions.
- CAM reconciliations.
- Investment Accounting - Tracking capital calls, distributions, gains/losses, and valuations for private equity, real estate, and other holdings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 5-10 years of commercial real estate accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Yardi/Yardi Genesis strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliations.
- Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
