3D Scanning Technician / Blue Light Scan Specialist – Houston, TX
Looking to work hands-on with cutting-edge 3D scanning technology and high-precision turbine components? We’re hiring a 3D Scanning Technician / Blue Light Scan Specialist to join a growing engineering team supporting advanced reverse engineering and metrology projects in the energy and aerospace space.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and being part of highly technical manufacturing and engineering initiatives.
First Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
$55K–$82K + Full Benefits
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform 3D scanning using ATOS Blue Light scanners and related technologies
- Support reverse engineering and dimensional inspection projects
- Analyze scan data and validate measurements against engineering drawings and GD&T standards
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams on high-precision components
- Troubleshoot scanning and data collection issues in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in:
- 3D scanning
- Metrology
- Dimensional inspection
- Quality engineering
- Experience with:
- ATOS Blue Light scanners
- Leica 360
- 3D metrology systems
- Reverse engineering technologies
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- CAD experience preferred; Creo is a plus
- Aerospace, turbine, manufacturing, or industrial experience highly preferred
