JOB SUMMARY


A construction company that provides materials and installation services to builders and homeowners (flooring, countertops, and cabinets) is seeking a Sales Associate.  


RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires someone who is a team player that will be able to work closely with customers, builders, and field supervisors in a fast-paced environment. Be able to build relationships with customers, highly motivated and confident while negotiating.



  • Follow up on company provided leads

  • Gain a strong understanding of our industry, our products, market trends and technology

  • Proactively approach potential Builders accounts to be awarded future business

  • Managing all client correspondence and accounts

  • Generating revenue/sales with prospective and existing clients

  • Attending networking events and coordinating client events and other business-related activities

  • Communicate with prospective clients using creative outreach methods – cold calls, email and phone, in person visits

  • Maintain an average outstanding account receivable up to date

  • Identify and target prospective clients through strategic research, planning and execution

  • Create bids for prospective clients using takeoff software


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS




  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or the experience equivalent

  • Minimum 2-3 years Sales Experience in the industry preferably in flooring, countertops &/or cabinetry

  • Construction general knowledge: ability to read floorplans

  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and navigate simultaneous deadlines

  • Good presentation and charisma

  • Goal oriented and self-motivated

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and motivation to learn

  • Computer skills including a working knowledge of MS office products

  • Knowledge of Measure or Cabinet Experience highly preferred
