Company that supports the El Paso community is looking for a Resident Relations Specialist.
Position Summary:
The Resident Relations Specialist is responsible for performing work involving the establishment, development and coordination of supportive services for residents living in properties. Directly delivers programming out at the properties in the form of activities, and distribution of food pantries or other essential items to residents. Develops, implements and evaluates programs that will enable residents to achieve economic and social self-sufficiency. The Resident Relations Specialist is also responsible for assisting and developing the skills of the Resident Associations.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Working hours are 8 to 5 Monday to Friday.
$20/hr.

Develops, implements and evaluates programs that will enable residents to achieve economic and social self-sufficiency. The Resident Relations Specialist is also responsible for assisting and developing the skills of the Resident Associations.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develops partnerships with local service agencies, private citizens, universities, faith-based organizations, etc. to coordinate supportive services in order to meet state requirements.
- Organizes and participates in the direct delivery of supportive services such as arts & crafts, loteria, movie night, food pantry or other essential item delivery, social event, literacy classes, computer classes, and recreational activities for elderly, adults and youth.
- Assists Resident Associations with technical assistance in a variety of resident initiative endeavors such as fund-raisers, socio-economic projects, social events, etc.
- Coordinates presentations with different speakers form the community to educate and guide residents in a variety of different topics.
- Acts as a liaison between residents and property management.
- Represents the company in meetings with community agencies, as needed.
- Assists in the preparation of applications for available grants, special programs and presentations.
- Attends professional meetings, seminars and conferences in order to keep informed of new trends, activities and concepts related to areas of responsibility.
- Refers requests from service providers to provide supportive services at the communities to property management and/or resident association presidents.
- Attends monthly and special JWRC meetings.
- Reconciles expenses against budgets for all properties.
- Scans documentation and enters stipend requests in the designated payment processing system.
- Reviews resident management system to determine if applicant is on the lease agreement prior to processing a scholarship or service request for any other service.
- Scans documentation and enters purchase orders or check requests in the designated payment processing system.
- Processes and completes the receipt of purchase orders in the payment processing system.
- Data enters participants served, initiatives and in-kind amounts into the Resident Services database, as required.
Job Qualifications and Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Administration, and Social Sciences preferred, or related field and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in resident relations or social work experience or an equivalent combination of educations and experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills using tact and diplomacy.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) both verbally and in writing required.
- Must be highly proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to evaluate data and maintain records in an organized manner.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
Working hours are 8 to 5 Monday to Friday.
