Burnett Specialists looking for a motivated Direct-Hire Accounting Recruiter to join our Accounting, Finance & Supply Chain specialty division in Houston.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting recruiter or a proven full-desk recruiter who enjoys account management, sales, sourcing, recruiting, and closing. You will work with an established client base while also developing new business and placing accounting and finance professionals in direct-hire roles.

What You’ll Do
- Manage a full desk, including client development, account management, sourcing, recruiting, and closing
- Recruit and place accounting and finance professionals in direct-hire opportunities
- Build strong relationships with clients, candidates, and internal team members
- Source talent through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, database searches, and outreach
- Screen, interview, present, and close qualified candidates
- Partner with clients on hiring needs, compensation, interview feedback, offers, and start dates
- Maintain strong follow-up, pipeline management, and activity in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of Recruiting experience, preferably in accounting/finance, professional staffing, direct hire, or full-desk agency recruiting
- Strong sales, relationship-building, communication, and follow-up skills
- Comfortable with client development, candidate outreach, negotiation, and closing
- Competitive, money-motivated, organized, and results-driven mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
This position is based in our Corporate Office in the Houston Westchase area. Direct-hire recruiters typically work primarily in the office, with some work-from-home flexibility based on experience, performance, and business needs.

I began my career with Burnett in 2012, shortly after graduating with a degree in hospitality. My passion for serving people naturally led me into recruiting, where I discovered how rewarding it is to connect top talent with the right opportunities.
Today, I lead our Accounting & Supply Chain Direct-Hire recruiting team while continuing to partner directly with clients and candidates. I specialize in placing Houston professionals across accounting, finance, and supply chain—ranging from staff-level talent to senior leadership and C-suite roles.
