Associate Attorney (Litigation – Real Estate)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on commercial and residential real estate and landlord/tenant law.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters related to real estate, including commercial and residential properties, landlord/tenant disputes, and property transactions.
- Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and develop effective legal strategies.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on real estate and landlord/tenant issues.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, learning from their expertise.
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including document production and review.
- Attend client meetings and maintain clear communication throughout cases.
- Keep up to date with changes in real estate laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 1-2 years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in real estate and landlord/tenant law.
- Knowledge of commercial and residential real estate laws and regulations.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications (not required but a plus):
- Experience in commercial and residential real estate law.
- Familiarity with landlord/tenant laws and disputes.
