Associate Attorney (Litigation – Real Estate)



We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on commercial and residential real estate and landlord/tenant law.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters related to real estate, including commercial and residential properties, landlord/tenant disputes, and property transactions.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on real estate and landlord/tenant issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, learning from their expertise.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including document production and review.
  • Attend client meetings and maintain clear communication throughout cases.
  • Keep up to date with changes in real estate laws and regulations.

 

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 1-2 years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in real estate and landlord/tenant law.
  • Knowledge of commercial and residential real estate laws and regulations.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Preferred Qualifications (not required but a plus):
  • Experience in commercial and residential real estate law.
  • Familiarity with landlord/tenant laws and disputes.
