QC Helper – Houston, TX (77029)
Shift: 1st & 2nd Shift Available
Overtime: Frequent Overtime Available
We are seeking dependable QC Helpers to join our team in Houston. This position is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and preparing steel materials for shipment. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding work in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities:

Inspect steel materials for quality and defects
-
Use hand tools, grinders, files, and torches to remove excess material and prepare products
-
Identify defects and assist in determining appropriate corrective actions
-
Move and handle materials safely throughout the work area
-
Work closely with forklift operators and team members to complete production goals
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area
-
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
-
Previous industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or labor experience preferred
-
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
-
Comfortable using hand and power tools
-
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
-
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
-
Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs.
-
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
-
Ability to assist with moving heavier materials as part of a team
-
Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, grinding, and material handling
-
Repetitive hand movements and standing for extended periods
