Job Description
Our client located in Houston is looking for an Product Manager, whom specializes in synthetic industrial lubricants to join their team!
Job Summary:
- Lead US laboratory team in projects, testing, processes and procedures following safety protocols.
- Support and application development of customers in the industrial lubricants product portfolio.
- Responsibility for integration with global team to grow sales and gain approvals of product line, at distributors, end users, and OEMs.
- Grow product lines in various applications globally emphasizing on North America.
- Help define and execute key projects currently under consideration within the global group and generate new project ideas and concepts for application in current and future industries.
- Gain OEM approvals and work closely with sales and technical groups to grow the industrial lubricants business segment globally.
- Continuous improvement in laboratory capabilities.
- Cross functional interaction with AC&R technical team.
- Represent at industry technical societies.
Job Requirements:
- Proven success in mineral and synthetic industrial lubricants.
- Knowledge in the field of lubrication
- Skilled in technical project management, new opportunity identification/development, and customer needs analysis as applied to applications.
- Understanding of variety of base fluids and additives and formulating lubricants.
- Familiarity with common industry tests.
- Experience in the operation of analytical equipment.
- Ability to take R&D concepts from idea stage to successful market penetration.
- People/presentation skills -will be expected to be able to make technical sales presentations to small and large groups
- Computer skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), SAGE, CRM
- Experience with major chemical and/or lubricants company(s) preferred.
- Experience in dealing with regulatory issues and organizations
- Knowledge of chemical processes, plant operations, logistics
- Participation in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, SAE, STLE preferred
