Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist - Houston, TX 77040
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll tax compliance, with a focus on federal and state tax filings. Alternatively, candidates with payroll tax advisory and compliance experience in a medium-sized tax consulting firm are also encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, submission, and filing of all payroll tax-related documents, including federal and state filings.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax regulations and legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any payroll tax discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as HR and Accounting, to gather necessary information for tax reporting purposes.
- Respond to inquiries and notices from tax authorities and address any compliance issues promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and guidelines.
- Experience with payroll tax software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
