Job Description

Conroe location seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee and supervise multi-state payroll functions ensuring on-time, accurate and compliance with government regulations!  This opportunity will allow you to assist in creating a great payroll team and office culture!  

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Hands-on processing multi-state payroll as well as overseeing the daily payroll workflow
  • Review payroll processing systems to ensure timely/accurate payroll transactions to include salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and any other applicable deductions
  • Train/evaluate payroll team
  • Ensure audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems and procedures
  • Resolve issues relating to payroll production
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with payroll software
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes
  • High level of knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, prevailing wages, CIP, minimum wage, garnishments, taxes, I-9s, W-2 forms and certified payroll
Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years related payroll experience required
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or related field is a plus
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
