Growing company in Northwest Houston is looking to add a PART-TIME recruiter to their dynamic team.
Working 20 hours a week. Flexible schedule, Hybrid.
Salary is 40k.


MISSION OF THE POSITION

The Recruiter develops and implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract, source, and hire a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting and sourcing methods and strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, usage of job boards, social media platforms, and outreach efforts (i.e., high school and college job fairs, military career centers, networking opportunities, etc.).
  • Effectively conducts Boolean searches and uses technology to support recruitment efforts (i.e., ChatGPT).
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify hiring criteria and job candidate profiles. As such, conducts effective “in-take” sessions with hiring managers.
  • Review resumes and applications and screen candidates for qualifications and job fit via phone interviews.
  • Schedules interviews with hiring managers and other interviewers and prepares interview questions for hiring managers as well as other selection materials as needed.
  • Effectively utilizes the company’s Applicant Tracking System and recommends best practices in doing so.
  • Helps hiring managers in their evaluation of talent and in making the best hiring decisions.
  • Collaborates with Human Resource colleagues and hiring managers during the employment offer process, including determining rates of pay based on the company’s compensation structure and the candidate’s experience.
  • Drafts and extends employment offers.
  • Proactively helps in identifying and implementing ways to promote the company’s brand and employer proposition.
  • Consistently cultivates a pipeline of future potential hires.
  • For hard-to-recruit positions, liaise with external staffing agencies as needed.
  • Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in recruitment is required.
  • Experience in hiring hourly positions is required.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to effectively source job candidates for staffing a variety of roles, most of which are hourly in nature.
  • Aptitude in screening job candidates.
  • Flexible and adept at handling varying amounts of open requisitions (i.e., from 3 to 10 at a time).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and holds self and others accountable to actively filling job openings.
  • Proactive with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with applicant-tracking software, Boolean searches, and usage of technology.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
