Job Description
A Texas appellate firm is seeking a Paralegal to join their team. Seeking candidates with litigation experience and appellate experience preferred. Must have 5+ years of experience working within a law firm. This firm offers full benefits. Job duties include:
- Develop e-briefs by expertly adding hyperlinks to internal cross-references, citations to evidence, and authorities for easy access and reference. Create, revise, and maintain a diverse range of legal documents with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy on the firm’s document management system.
- E-file documents with various state and federal courts to ensure efficient and compliant submissions.
- Mark and generate tables for briefs to comply with filing rules.
- Efficiently retrieve cases via Westlaw to support attorneys in their research endeavors. Training to be provided, if necessary.
- Assist with the creation of electronic oral argument notebooks.
- Share responsibility for management of Houston office, ensuring a professional and functional environment.
