Paralegal
Job Description
A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of complex litigation matters, from pre-suit through trial and resolution. This role offers hands-on involvement in high-level case strategy, discovery management, trial preparation, and eDiscovery coordination within a collaborative legal team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case development, investigations, witness interviews, and factual analysis.
- Conduct background research, public records searches, arbitrator research, and case-related investigative support.
- Organize, analyze, and summarize large volumes of records and evidence, including timelines, chronologies, and fact summaries.
- Coordinate with court personnel, court reporters, litigation vendors, and outside service providers.
- Support legal research efforts including cite-checking, fact verification, local rule research, and case law retrieval.
- Manage large-scale discovery and document review projects using platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, and other litigation support tools.
- Partner closely with eDiscovery teams to organize and maintain document productions and review workflows.
- Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare deposition summaries, testimony categorizations, and exhibit materials utilizing deposition management software.
- Coordinate state and federal e-filings and collaborate with docketing teams on filing deadlines and procedures.
- Support trial preparation including exhibit organization, witness materials, trial binders, deposition designations, and courtroom technology.
- Attend hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials as needed to provide litigation support.
- Help oversee workflow and provide guidance to legal support staff assigned to case teams.
- Minimum 7+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm environment.
- Strong experience handling complex litigation and document-intensive matters.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is a plus.
- Experience with litigation technology platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, Opus2, Adobe, or similar software strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and litigation teams.
- Flexible to work overtime and travel when case demands require.
- Hybrid schedule with at least 3 in-office days per week.
- 1500 billable hour expectation.
