Job Description


A dynamic and fast-paced insurance defense litigation firm in North Dallas is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing caseloads, including maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely responses to court orders and discovery requests.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Discovery: Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including document production, interrogatories, and depositions. Prepare discovery requests and responses.
  • Research: Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations. Summarize findings for attorneys.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide case updates. Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and court appearances.
  • Court Filings: Prepare and file documents with the court, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines.
  • Case Analysis: Assist in analyzing case facts and evidence, preparing case summaries, and developing case strategies.
  • Administrative Support: Organize and maintain case files, including electronic filing systems. Manage scheduling of meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal procedures and ethical standards in all aspects of case management and documentation.

Education:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Certification: Paralegal certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NALA, NFPA) is preferred but not required.
