As the Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship (PW&A) Compliance Manager, you will be working within the Energy Incentives (179D, ITC) division to plan and execute projects associated with tax incentive deduction studies. You will work with other highly motivated individuals in a team environment that varies daily, including routine interactions with technical professionals such as engineers, scientists, accountants, MBAs, and PhDs. Working hand in hand with the implementation team, technical experts, and senior leadership, you will be driving project success by identifying value for clients, while upholding a standard of quality and compliance.

 

As the PW&A Compliance Manager, you will be instrumental in developing best practices and standard operating procedures to ensure our client's compliance with federal and state regulations including Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. You will develop and grow a team to support you in this goal.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our 179D team and with our clients, tax-exempt organizations, and government entities to identify, analyze, and quantify PW&A documentation.
  • Draft and define procedures for analyzing PW&A documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive procedures and processes for PW&A compliance, ensuring alignment with federal and state laws.
  • Collaborate with our Tax Controversy Services (TCS) team to create legal defense strategies for tax compliance for PW&A.
  • Ability to own and actively manage your docket of projects across a variety of clients within the AEC Industry (Architects, Engineers, Contractors, etc.)
  • Develop into and become the Subject Matter Expert on tax specialty issues
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States to interact with clients and government entities
  • Directly impact and interact with clients, including c-suite executives, by serving as their compliance consultant

Location/Salary/Benefits/Hours:
  • Role is onsite in Houston, TX (RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE)
  • Salary is depending on experience
  • 100% paid benefits, free onsite gym and café, catered lunches everyday and 3 weeks PTO!
  • Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-6:30pm. Mandatory training sessions will be after hours 3x a week.

 

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional (Post Grad)
  • College degree required (Bachelors or Masters)
  • Labor compliance experience
  • Construction industry (AEC - Architect, Engineer, Construction) or within the government
  • Private sector or government
  • Davis-Bacon Act
  • Prevailing Wage
