Job Description

IMMEDIATE NEED FOR MECHANICAL ASSEMBLERS

Business is booming for this worldwide manufacturer of valves & actuators 

Location is in Northwest Houston – near 290/Beltway 8

These are contract positions with the likelihood of working into permanent employment

$17.50 per hour / $26.25 per hour once you go over 40 hours within a week!
Expect to be working 6am-5pm, 6days per week.  Standard hours are 6am-2:30pm

Responsibilities: 
  • Safely, efficiently, and successfully completing mechanical assemblies of industrial valves, actuators and accessories
  • Following instructions on sales orders and work orders
  • Maintaining a healthy and clean work environment
  • Following company safety production policies and procedures
  • Adapting to change and new situations

Requirements: 
  • Two plus years’ experience with manufacturing light assembly 
  • Must possess strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Must be driven with a sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Ability to stand for long hours and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Highly dependable and flexible
  • Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate within a team environment.
  • Ability to read, speak and write English and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Attention to detail and precision in work
  • Available to work overtime hours including Saturdays as needed
  • High School diploma or equivalent and ability to pass a drug test and background check

The following experiences are considered a plus!:
  • Previous experience assembling and pressure-testing valves
  • Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams
  • Experience with bending stainless steel and/or copper tubing
  • Stand-up Reach Truck experience
  • Knowledgeable on computers
  • Possesses critical thinking skills
