Job Description


Our client in the New Braunfels area is seeking a dependable Logistics Assistant to assist their team. Under the guidance of the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service by overseeing all aspects of deliveries.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage designated accounts and offer ongoing customer support.
  • Evaluate business procedures, identify risks, and suggest enhancements to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline logistical operations and coordinate shipment and transportation logistics with carrier agents.
  • Review and authenticate invoices and check requests.
  • Organize, categorize, and match payments accurately.
  • Input and upload invoices into the accounting system.
  • Monitor accounts to guarantee timely payments.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and related issues.
  • Maintain vendor records, correspond with vendors, and address inquiries.
  • Generate monthly reports.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes.
  • Provide documentation support for audits.
  • Communicate pertinent product pickup and delivery requirements.
  • Aid the Transportation Operations Manager in addressing customer service matters.
  • Receive next-day customer requirements from the Customer Care Center.
  • Support the Transportation Manager and Regional Logistics Director in negotiating contracts with carriers.
  • Adhere to company safety regulations and wear appropriate safety gear while on plant premises.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics, specifically in load planning and dispatch.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Previous exposure to sales, shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehousing is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to prioritize projects, allocate resources, and engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
