Probate Litigator  Searching for 10 years of experience
Located: Galleria 
Position Overview: A Probate Litigation Attorney specializes in handling legal matters related to disputes and litigation arising within the context of probate and estate administration. The role involves representing clients in court, providing legal advice, conducting legal research, and managing all aspects of probate litigation cases. The attorney works closely with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to navigate complex legal issues and ensure a fair resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their concerns, objectives, and goals related to probate litigation. Provide clear and concise legal advice to clients regarding their rights and options in probate disputes.
Case Assessment and Strategy: Evaluate the merits of probate cases and develop effective legal strategies. Conduct legal research to support case arguments and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and petitions, with the court. Draft settlement agreements, will contests, and other legal documents necessary for probate litigation.
Court Representation: Represent clients in probate court hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Present oral arguments, examine witnesses, and submit evidence to support the client's position.
Negotiation and Settlement: Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to reach favorable settlements. Advise clients on the benefits and risks of settlement options and guide them in making informed decisions.
Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case developments. Address client concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience in probate litigation or related areas of law (10+ years ideally).
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
