Job Description:
- Installs, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains industrial air compressor systems (rotary screw, reciprocating, centrifugal) to ensure operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing preventive maintenance, rebuilding pumps, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues, and testing systems to meet safety standards.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, replace air/oil filters and separator elements, check belts, and adjust pressure settings.
- Diagnose malfunctions using mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical knowledge.
- Start-up new air compression systems, dryers, and air piping systems.
- Ensure all machinery operates in compliance with safety regulations. Comply with all customer safety regulations including background and drug testing if required.
- Maintain detailed records of service, repairs, and inspections.
- Discuss issues with clients and provide technical advice for equipment, often working in field service roles.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience with industrial rotating machinery, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Often requires traveling to customer sites.
- Work environments include factories, manufacturing plants, and service shops.
- May require flexible hours to handle emergency repairs.
$18/hr.-$20hr. based on skill level.
Position could become full time with the company.
