Legal Assistant - Workers' Compensation
Job Description
A Personal Injury law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Fort Lauderdale, FL team. Candidate must have a minimum of (2) two years legal assistant experience in a Claimant’s Workers' Compensation setting. Bilingual, English/Spanish, preferred but not required.

Candidate would need to be able to perform the following tasks:
- Capable of overseeing 120+ workers' compensation files.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, appointments, and deadlines.
- Possess extensive experience with law firm management/case management software.
- Request medical records, and other discovery related to furthering the claim.
- Prepare settlement documents.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Conduct & maintain a positive & enthusiastic interaction with all clients.
- Must be great with client communication.
- Must have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to prioritize work and work under pressure.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented.
- Must have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
