About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Assistant with a strong background in litigation, particularly in landlord/tenant law. If you're highly organized, know your way around legal filings, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, we want to hear from you!
This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of landlord/tenant disputes, supporting a team of dedicated attorneys in a professional and collaborative office setting in the Galleria area.
What You'll Do
- Draft, proofread, and manage legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain case files and trial prep materials.
- Conduct research on relevant landlord/tenant laws and regulations.
- Prepare trial exhibits and manage deadlines.
- Schedule hearings, court dates, and client meetings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Handle document production and discovery requests.
What We're Looking For
- 3–7 years of litigation experience (landlord/tenant experience strongly preferred).
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of landlord/tenant law and legal procedures.
- Proficient with legal case management software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
