  • The primary role of this position is to perform routine Inventory, Shipping & Receiving functions and/or Material handling under direct supervision.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our operations.
 
Functions
  • Essential functions that may be assigned include:
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a mobile computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Verify inventory counts of stock items and notify supervisor of discrepancy.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Operate Material Handling equipment, including forklift operation.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Aid other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
  • Always maintains a safe, clean and organized work area
    Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
    • Minimum one (1) years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
    • Forklift 
    • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
    • Safety-minded approach to daily activities in the workplace
    • Customer-satisfaction focused approach to daily interactions with internal customers and service providers.
    • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills are required
    • Effective time management skills to meet operational needs
    • Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Applications and experience with Inventory Management Systems
