We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our operations.
Position Overview: The Inventory Specialist at our oil and gas warehouse plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and ensuring timely distribution of products to meet customer demands. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of inventory management in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Monitor, control, and optimize inventory levels to minimize shortages and overstock situations. Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or other designated software platforms.
  • Receiving and Inspection: Oversee the receiving process for incoming shipments. Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of items received against purchase orders.
  • Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with various departments to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time. Prepare and pack items for shipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and order fulfillment metrics. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all inventory-related activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory management within the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to oil and gas products.
