Job Description
​Boutique intellectual property firm is seeking an IP litigation paralegal for their downtown Houston office.
Paralegal with 5-7 years of litigation experience; experience in Intellectual Property highly preferred
Working knowledge of databases and searching platforms
Understanding of Patents and Claims
Working knowledge of IPRs, Re-Exams, and USPTO process
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Working knowledge of databases and searching platforms
Understanding of Patents and Claims
Working knowledge of IPRs, Re-Exams, and USPTO process
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Provide litigation support for attorneys, and other members of the legal team
- Manage/oversee workload, assignments, and projects to their completion
- Assist in the processing of cases for litigation/arbitration/mediation
- Assist with fact and expert witnesses
- Assist attorneys with Discovery & Discovery Responses
- Work in legal databases, maintain case files (both physical and electronic)
- Compile documents electronically / Records Management & Retention
- Cite check documents, pleadings, and briefs
- Proofread documents and emails
- Manage the intake and maintenance of source code
- Assist with filing court documents in State & Federal Courts and with the USPTO and PTAB
- Coordinate and schedule Depositions
- Calendar deadlines for cases (scheduling orders, discovery deadlines, responses)
- Lead for preparing for and attending trials, including coordination of travel and hotel reservations, war room, equipment vendors, IT and networking vendors, courtroom set up, demonstrative exhibits and boxed documents to trial sites
