Inside Sales Representative
Responsibilities:
· Handling incoming customer inquiries: Answering phone calls, emails, and online chat inquiries from outside sales, contractors, builders, and homeowners regarding product availability, pricing, and technical specifications.
· Generating quotes: Preparing detailed quotes based on customer needs, including product selection, quantities, and pricing.
· Order processing: Entering customer orders accurately into the system and coordinating delivery logistics.
· Customer relationship management: Maintaining ongoing communication with existing customers, addressing concerns, and identifying potential upselling opportunities.
· Product knowledge: Staying updated on the latest building products, applications, and industry trends to effectively answer customer questions.
· Collaboration with outside sales team: Supporting the outside sales team by providing product information and handling customer inquiries while they are on site visits.
Skills needed:
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Detailed knowledge of building materials and construction practices
· Proficiency with CRM software to manage customer data and sales pipeline
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
· Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
· Positive, friendly attitude and works well with others
· Willingness to assist others and be flexible
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of experience in custom lumber sales, building materials, or a related field (cabinetry, doors…)
· Excellent critical thinking skills
· Attention to detail
· Basic math skills (Able to read a tape measure)
· Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
