Growing Manufacturing Company in Northwest Houston is looking for an HR Generalist that is a Self-Starter  Position Overview: The HR Generalist will support and facilitate various HR functions within our manufacturing company, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This role is essential in ensuring a positive and productive work environment while aligning HR practices with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

 Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and job offers.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Performance Management:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems, including performance reviews and goal-setting processes.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on performance-related issues.

Benefits Administration:
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist employees with benefits inquiries and issues, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Compliance and Policy Management:
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
Training and Development:
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs and workshops to enhance employee skills and development.
  • Identify training needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
HR Reporting and Administration:
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Health and Safety:
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist in managing worker’s compensation claims and related documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
