Job Description

HR Generalist- Houston, TX 77079 The Human Resource Generalist brings value to the organization by working to understand business needs and leverage HR work products and services to meet those needs. This person must be a credible partner, skilled at communicating to various levels of the organization. The HR Generalist also cooperates with fellow HR colleagues to implement daily activities that support the site's people strategy, in compliance with local labor legislation. (Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management and Talent Acquisition)  Description of duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure data integrity within the HR management system
  •  Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, grievances, performance evaluations, and employee leaves of absence such as FMLA, STD, and other leaves as they relate to legislative compliance or company policy.
  • Assist in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees, answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
  • Coordinate and arrange personnel and labor relations activities.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with regards to employment laws, legislative requirements, and collective bargaining agreement; monitor company or workforce adherence to labor agreements.
  • Assist in recruiting including reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, and assisting hiring manager with conducting interviewing.
  • Prepare, set up and conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is complete.
  • Regularly communicate with headquarters or other sites and provide necessary HR data and/or information.
  • Assist site visitors when necessary.
  • Works to increase and promote company culture and change management with necessary high levels of employee engagement.
  • Conduct necessary trainings throughout the year to keep employees continuously informed and engaged
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field
  • Experience in European Human Resources required
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • HRIS, SAP Experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
