Job Description

Immediate need for an HR Generalist - Bilingual Spanish

Facility is located in a suburb NE of Dallas (East of Rockwall)
Position will be in and out of a non-climate controlled warehouse

Hours: 7:30-3:30 / Mon-Fri (100% on-site)

Contract - 12-18 months++


This facility recently went through a buy-out - Main focus of this position will be employee relations and assisting with the current HR Manager with the implementation of the new benefits and policies. 

The Company you will be representing is a publicly traded US company, that has an 80+ year track record of growth and success providing unique products to HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical contractors as well as the commercial construction industry across North America.  

Some of the tasks you may be asked to complete:
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Engage with employees and plant leadership in raising and resolving minor workplace issues referring complex issues to the appropriate member of the HR team.
  • Regularly assess the plant climate and employee engagement. Make recommendations to improve and ensure a vibrant culture and good work environment.
  • Administrative HR duties including answering general employee questions, employee file maintenance, data entry into UKG, managing job descriptions, responding to unemployment claims, responding to employment verifications, and KPI dashboards/reports, etc.
  • Respond to employee HR related questions regarding benefits, paychecks, leave of absences, PTO, etc.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new employees, including temporary plant employees;
  • Assist with scheduling and conducting employee trainings and meetings, such as the annual Code of Business Conduct training and Open Enrollment meetings.
  • Coordinate with Employee Experience Coordinator on leave of absence administration tasks including FMLA, Worker’s Comp, Personal leaves, military leaves, STD and LTD;
  • Assists with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, reviews job openings, reviews resumes with hiring managers, completes hiring forms and requests offer letters from recruiter or HR Manager
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Knowledge of HR laws and best practices, required
  • Two to five years HR experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, required
  • Able to handle multiple tasks as well as the ability to prioritize and handle a demanding workload, required
  • Able to work independently and with little supervision, required
  • Proficient in PC skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance with EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, and other state or federal laws.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification preferred.
