HR Director

We are partnering with a private equity firm with over 500 mm in assets who has founded a new company in Austin who is a multi-site owner, operator, and business partner to companies in the automotive industry. The company currently has deals under LOI and substantial committed capital to grow over the next several years.

Position Summary

The HR Director plays a critical role in overseeing the human resources function of our fast-growing firm and its subsidiary entities. The HR Director will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to attract, develop, and retain top talent, while ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the firm's growth and business objectives.
  • Standup and oversee corporate employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee welfare programs.
  • Implement employee benefits at subsidiary entities as part of post-acquisition integrations.
  • Manage the payroll administration process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, tax compliance, and reporting.
  • Lead talent acquisition processes, including developing job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for various roles.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to support new employees' integration and engagement.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive and inclusive work culture that aligns with The Company’s core values: Courage, Partnership, Relentlessness.
  • Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and talent development plans.
  • Oversee employee training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge across the organization.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and termination processes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in HR / people, recruiting, and employee benefits.

 

Position Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in HR leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Experience in setting up and managing employee benefits and payroll administration (across multi-entity organizations is a plus)

Preferred
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification(s), such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integration processes.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn best-in-class HR information systems (HRIS) and other relevant software.
  • Experience with HRIS evaluation, implementation, and management.
  • Prior role as a multi-entity HR Director.
