Position: Human Resources Coordinator – Benefits & Payroll

Salary: $55K—70K

Duties And Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for annually reviewing the firm’s benefits policies and procedures making recommendations for improvement and communicating changes to ensure compliance.

·         Responsible for assuring agency compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters

·         Responsible for overseeing accurate and timely payroll processing.

·         Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

·         Responsible for improving and maintaining a digital filing system for personnel files: HR, Health Benefits Records

·         Processing and maintaining all workers’ compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA and leaves of absence. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

·         Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief People Officer

·         Responsible for managing all employee benefits process (i.e., vendor management, communication of enrollments to employees, answering questions, and submitting invoices etc.)

·         Responsible to up-to-date employee records within ADP workforce tool

·         Responsible for managing employee PTO and PTO policy for all employees.

·         Working closely with HR Generalist for onboarding and offboarding employees

·         Responsible to manage and execute annual bonus payout for firm employees in December.

·         Responsible to manage employee Over-Time (OT) process and policy.

·         Maintaining 401k or retirement plan information to include census preparation, regular auditing for missing addresses, beneficiaries, and yearly audits


·         Mandatory minimum 3-5 years of Human Resource experience;

·         Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on Payroll Experience is required;

·         Professionalism with superior written and verbal communication skills;

·         Working understanding of human resource principles; practices, and procedures; especially as it pertains to payroll processing and compliance

·         Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced Excel skills;

·         ADP workforce experience is mandatory;

·         Experience working with QuickBooks (Desktop);

·         Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential information;

·         Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities;

·         Ability to think strategically, take initiative and problem solver under pressure.

Education/ Certification

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources (Preferred)

·         SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)
