Manufacturing company seeking an HR Analyst to assist starting on a contract basis. If all goes well, then there is potential for this position to go full-time/permanent.

Hours: 8am – 5pm (HYBRID SCHEDULE—3 in-office, 2 WFH, could flip/flop depending on the week) may be fully in office until acclimated to the role

HOT BUTTONS: 
  • Someone who has HR Generalist experience along with being somewhat behind the scenes. That can learn the transactions, process improvements, analytical mindset, and understanding of the “why.” Further open this position to help with HR process, HR data analytics across the board and not just at this site.
  • Looking for someone who is very data-driven, and analytical and lets the data tell the story.
  • This role would be supporting their Greenwood, South Carolina office along with assisting with some things with the HR teams at the Houston Corporate Office.
  • NOT looking for an HRIS Analyst.
  • Sit in the Corporate office and partner with the HRIS team, and other HR teams, to take the data analytical mindset to streamline these processes more effectively.
  • Workday is preferred but not a must.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Specialist will work collaboratively with the Human Resources team to provide analytical and human resources support. This position will support a broad range of human resource processes with a focus on HRIS data maintenance, HR analytics, and process improvement. This is a “hands on” position that requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

TARGETED OUTCOMES
  • Partner with HR team to support front-line leader training regarding HR systems, processes, and payroll.
  • Partner with HR team to identify and implement HR process improvement opportunities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting, Analysis, and Process Improvement
  • Manage HRIS-related data accurately and in a timely fashion while ensuring compliance.
  • Oversee the administration of hourly progression steps and coordinate with leaders on matters relating to on-the-job re-certification requirements.
  • Generate HR metrics and reports for analysis and decision making. 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes.
  • Provide workforce demographic data for internal projects, wage surveys and governmental reporting.

Human Resources Administration
  • Manage onboarding processes, including pre-employment procedures and coordination with the medical department for necessary screenings.
  • Track and maintain all records and employee files, ensuring that the site is compliant with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and company policies
  • Act as a point of contact for inquiries related to HRIS, payroll, benefits and policy interpretation collaborating with Centers of Excellence as needed.
  • Partner with site departments to schedule, administer, and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Maintain sensitive and confidential matters and protect the security of information/data and files.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Submit all HR Workday transactions.
  • Support weekly timecard review and approval for bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Coordinate and support benefits communications at the site level.
  • Provide support of the company’s compensation programs including general analysis as requested.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent
  • Experience in HRIS data systems and administration
  • Experience with online employment application systems

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to map current and future state processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft applications as well as ability to learn and navigate new applications.

  • Sound knowledge of US employment laws and practices, including but not limited to FMLA, FLSA, and Payroll
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations in a collaborative/inclusive fashion
  • Listen actively to others and assimilate their input and views
  • Work collaboratively across diverse teams, functions, sites and organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Work independently and excel in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
