Financial Controller

A Dynamic private equity firm that provides capital solutions to Real Estate Investors is seeking a Financial Controller for their team.
 As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of our lending operations. You will be responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting standards, and collaborating with auditors to maintain accurate and transparent financial records.

Financial Controller Duties: Accounting
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial reporting.
  • Implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Financial Review and Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough financial reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Utilize financial analytics to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Tax Compliance:
  • Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including K1 taxes.
  • Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing.
Banking and Lines of Credit:
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions.
  • Manage lines of credit, ensuring compliance with banking requirements.
Investor Payouts:
  • Oversee the distribution of investor payouts in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Address investor inquiries and maintain positive investor relations.
Data Manipulation and Reporting:
  • Manipulate and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
  • Generate and distribute accurate and timely financial reports.
Management and Leadership:
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Financial Controller Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant financial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred.
  • Proven management experience, demonstrating effective leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting standards.
  • Experience working with auditors and managing external audits.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and financial analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
