Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst
Seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to lead reporting, forecasting, and planning processes, including distribution of appropriate financial targets and proactive analysis of the financial statements and industry market to recommend opportunities to increase market position for management accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop detailed budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain financial models to analyze trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision-making.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and variance analysis reports.
2. Financial Analysis & Reporting: Design, implement and manage a robust FP&A monthly reporting cadence, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and insights.
• Analyze financial performance against key metrics and benchmarks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Integrate financial and operational data from various sources (e.g. ERP systems, CRM software, operational databases) into a centralized data platform for comprehensive analysis.
3. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business budgeting and planning. Partner with operational leaders to identify opportunities to reduce costs, grow revenue and improve operations Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support as needed.
4. Financial Controls & Compliance: Implement and maintain effective financial controls, processes, and systems to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
5. Team Leadership & Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the finance and accounting team.
• Drive efficiency and effectiveness through process improvements, automation, and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 3 + years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
• Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial statements.
• Ability to create organized, dynamic budgets and financial and synthesize business concepts into representative models.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP, BI tools) and advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
