Export Logistics Specialist
Job Description
Our client is hiring an Export Documentation Specialist in the Spring, TX area!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process export documentation for international shipments via ocean, air, and ground transportation.
- Prepare and review commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and other required shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments, customers, vendors, freight forwarders, and other external partners to ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time.
- Review shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized records and files related to international shipments.
- Assist with monitoring invoices and ensuring timely processing of payments.
- Help ensure shipments comply with applicable export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate the procurement, packing, and shipment of product samples.
- Assist with documentation and logistics related to trade shows and other company events.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the international sales team as needed.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, export documentation, international shipping, or a related field.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
- Experience working with an ERP, transportation management, or logistics system preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in an environment that involves regular interaction with warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift, move, and pack boxes weighing up to approximately 30 lbs.
