Job Type: Temporary
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time
Are you detail-oriented with experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery schedules? We are seeking a Temporary Expeditor to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring materials and supplies arrive on time to support production schedules and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Expedite supplier deliveries to meet production schedules and business needs.
- Monitor and update purchase order promise dates, delivery locations, and order changes.
- Communicate with suppliers to track order status and resolve delivery issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely receipt and shipment of materials.
- Develop and communicate on-time delivery expectations with key suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve supply chain delays while minimizing operational impact.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding purchase orders and deliveries.
- Collaborate with management to implement corrective action plans for supplier performance.
- Assist with procurement and supply chain improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates on order status.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–4 years of expediting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery schedules.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a proactive approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
