Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer (EVP/CFO)
Location: Houston, TX
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer (EVP/CFO) to join our leadership team. This individual will oversee all financial operations and play a critical role in guiding the organization’s long-term financial strategy and growth.
Position Overview:
The EVP/CFO will serve as a key member of the executive team, responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role will partner closely with the CEO and Board to support strategic decision-making and ensure financial health and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting and general ledger oversight
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and growth planning
• Provide insight and analysis on financial performance and key business drivers
• Develop and mentor finance and accounting teams
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and financial institutions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred
• CPA (strongly preferred)
• 10–15+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
• Experience within a financial institution (credit union or banking environment strongly preferred)
• Strong background in audit and/or regulatory examiner experience highly preferred
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
